Flying is a big part of our house, with Mike being rated as an airplane mechanic, glider pilot, as well as private and instrument flying; and many hours of flight time myself.

The local chapter of the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association, based in Oshkosh, WI) offered special opportunities for Scouts to come to local airports and take introductory rides with pilots there.  Our choice was our local flying club - Stick & Rudder - in Waukegan, and Mikey was hooked!
