It's been a number of years (2? 3?) since we've been able to go and see Grandma McMurray in Oklahoma City, so we decided spur of the moment to make the trek down there this year for Thanksgiving.
The kids were VERY excited, and now that they are older, are a lot of ton to travel with. Grandma was thrilled to see everyone, although a little nonplussed at all of the extra noise and activity our gaggle of children bring with them. She's quite a ways removed from when she was raising her 6 children!
The weather was glorious - it got up into the high 70's! - and so we spent some time visiting places we hadn't seen yet on previous trips: Will Rogers Gardens, and Martin Nature Center. We even managed to 'herd' the kids into enough of a formation to take some Christmas shots!
The highlight was the kids learning to skip rocks while we were at the nature center. What fun!
