Each Fall for the past 4 years or so, I have canned apples, pears, cucumbers (pickles), and whatever else I could get my hands on. While buying apples at the store is easy and relatively cheap, there's nothing quite like picking them straight off the tree.

 

Thus Mary, Mikey, and I traveled north, just over the border into Wisconsin, to Apple Holler fruit orchard and picked ourselves 2 bushels of apples. The orchard has about 20 different varieties of apples, but we limited ourselves to 5 for this expedition.

 

While we were there, we also enjoyed their play area...
