One doesn't think about going to the zoo in the middle of February, but the Milwaukee Zoo provided the location and the education for the boys to finish their elective pin about animals.
The boys learned about endangered animals; animals native to Illinois and Wisconsin; and got to see the Big Cat and Primates exhibits, among other things.
The highlight was the visit from the gorgeous little chinchilla that the boys did not want to stop petting... so soft!!
