One of the electives in the Webelos handbook is to learn about ecosystems and animals in our environment, known as the 'Into the Wild' pin.

The boys of my den headed to the Milwaukee Zoo for a workshop in March to work with the educational team there where they have lots of animals.

​

Among the topics they learned about were bird flyways across the country; ecosystems and the transfer of energy through the food chain; and different types of animals native to our region.
